Season Hiking
Will I get out of shape on a three week hiking trip?
I am 5 foot 4.5 inches, 16 years old and 112 pounds. I run cross country and have been running all summer to prepare for the upcoming season. I am however going on a three week hiking trip in Wyoming and I doubt I will have any time to go run. On the trip we will be hiking 7-8 miles a day through the Tetons and Yellowstone over some tough terrain. I am in pretty good shape now, but will I be the same when I get back?
I dont' think you have anything to worry about - the hike will keep you in shape - you may use muscles you didn't know you had!
