Photo Battery

How do I fix the battery compartment on my camera?
I found this old Nickelodeon Photo Blaster camera but the lid that shuts the battery compartment is missing. It's a fairly rare so it would be expensive or difficult to find a spare part. Is there a simple or inexpensive way to fix it?
My guess would be no. Most of these older cameras, unless they use a proprietary battery instead of AA will have a connector on that lid that allows current to pass so you can power the camera.
My first suggestion is to visit a local camera store and talk with a pro.
Take the camera with you and that person should be able to advise on repair, if it's available.
