Direct Tv Help?
I recently had my house tented and now that we have returned we have no signal from the sattelite, the loading screen just sits there reading: searching for sattelite signal. Technicians cost money with DirectTV, please help.
Most likely what happened is that when you had the house tented, they knocked your satellite dish out of alignment, or maybe disconnected it.
I don't know what the specific terms of the contract with the exterminators was, but they should have something about what to do about satellite dishes. You can see if they will reimburse you to have the DirecTV installer come out to your house to realign your dish. This shouldn't take long. In fact, if you know an installer personally, you could probably bribe him to do this for you free with a 6-pack of his favorite beverage, dinner out, or something like that.
The insecticide shouldn't have affected your satellite receiver, but that would be another possibility - and if that's the case, the exterminator should pay for a new receiver - assuming they didn't tell you before hand to remove any electronics from the house. However, I really think they knocked the dish and/or a wire out.
