Hiking Walking
What is the difference between hiking and rambling and walking and trekking?
My definitions (whether correct or not I don't know but this is my opinion)
Hiking - Over 15/20 miles long, carrying full kit, either just for a day or maybe a weekend.
Rambling - Under 15 miles, rucksack with some water and grub, just around and about woods and hills etc
Walking - going to work/shops/school, urban paths
Trekking - Over 50 miles, carrying full kit, a week, from one point to another with a great distance between, or climbing a mountain type thing.
