Canon EOS Rebel XT?
I just got a Rebel XT and I want to know if it is possible to set it so I can view the image I want to take on the LED screen instead of through the small viewfinder. thank you.

Most SLR's do not have live view. A few of the newer ones do but most serious amatuers and pros wouldn't use it. Looking through the viewfinder is much better for composing shots and is much steadier than holding your arms out.
The reason for this is that the image sensor is not exposed until the shutter opens.
Take the lens off your camera and look inside. You will see a mirror and behind that a shutter. When you look through the viewfinder you see what the lens sees reflected off the mirror up to the viewfinder. When you press the shutter button the mirror flips up and the shutter opens and exposes the sensor.
On a point and shoot camera the sensor is always exposed.
