How would you make a US History Superhero?
Okay I need ideas about a US history figure that I turn into a modern day superhero. The persons power must have something to do with what made them famous. And no Benjamin Franklin with lighting powers, something no one would think of...Thanks
Don't go with a well known figure, folks are going to expect the superpowers there to be based on things the person's well known for so it's not going to seem original. Whereas with someone that's not well known you could get away with giving them a power based on something their known for. Like let's say you went with Orville or Wilbur Wright (or both) and gave them the power of flight. Common, we're talking one or both of the Wright Brothers here, the power of flight is pretty much a seen it coming. Now take William "Bill" Thaw and give him the power of flight. Folks are going to say "Whose William Thaw?" Anyone who knows who Thaw is (Thaw, just so you know, was one of the American volunteers who served France as a member of the famed Lafayette Escadrille prior to the US's entrance in WWI) will not see him having the power of flight be original while those without a clue will want to learn why he was given this power.
